Alan Shearer has named James Tarkowski, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil in his Premier League Team of the Week.

It was a stunning performance from the Blues on Monday night, dismantling Brighton & Hove Albion 5-1 at the Amex Stadium.

Speaking on the Premier League website, Shearer hailed Everton's Mali international midfielder.

"Stunned Brighton with the early opener and then hit a superb second," he said.

"They've got to be the two most important goals of his career."

Everton boss Sean Dyche was also named as Shearer's Manager of the Week.

"No one saw that result coming," he continued.

"Managers have struggled with Roberto De Zerbi’s tactics ever since his arrival at Brighton, but Dyche had all the answers.”

Former Blues striker Kevin Campbell, meanwhile, has backed Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be Everton's hero in the run-in to the end of the season.

The Blues' No.9 has returned to match fitness in recent weeks and Campbell believes he can help steer the Club away from danger as long as he remains fit.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "Dominic Calvert-Lewin didn't even get on the scoresheet and he played well [against Brighton]. As a striker, he was crazy.

"When there are five in midfield and one up top, you've got so much work to do. You've got to be really fit to do that job; to win balls in the air, you've got to hold it up and challenge on the shoulder and also try to get in behind. I thought he led the line expertly.

"He's going to be key. If he stays fit until the end of the season, Everton will stay up."
