Eight-Year-Old Blue Shows Off Artwork To Her Everton Heroes

An eight-year-old Evertonian whose love of art led to her drawing portraits of her favourite Blues players has shown off her work at Finch Farm ahead of World Art Day (Saturday 15 April).

Olivia-Faith and her mum Heather were invited into Everton’s training ground to meet Tom Davies, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Alex Iwobi – three of her recent subjects - after sending her pictures to the Club.

Heather had previously shared a photo of Olivia-Faith’s drawing of Iwobi on social media and, when the Nigeria international retweeted it, the youngster’s passion for drawing and colouring grew further.

More Everton-inspired portraits have followed, including one of Davies that was sent to the midfielder and subsequently became the screensaver on his phone.

During her visit, Olivia-Faith was able to show the players her drawings in person, get them signed and have a chat about her talent and her love of the Toffees, which was passed down by her late grandfather.

Of the experience, she said: “It’s been such an exciting day! I really wanted to show the players my pictures and get their honest opinion on them.

“To see my work on the front of Tom’s phone was a big shock and it blew my mind. It made me really happy and very proud.”

Proud mum Heather added: “I don’t think the players or anyone here understands how much this means to myself and Olivia-Faith.

“Having supported Everton since I was a little girl, this has been an amazing day and we appreciate it greatly.

"Olivia-Faith loves her art and she was so excited to show the players what she has been working on.”
