Just Two Roof Truss Lifts Remain

Just two more roof truss lifts remain to complete the structure atop the south stand of Everton Stadium.

The first 100 tonne section of the third and final full-span truss was lifted into place earlier this week.

Next week, the penultimate lift is due to take place, with the complete roof in place after the Easter break.

Work continues to complete the upper terracing in the west stand, before the ‘A frames’ – currently being built on the western terrace – are installed on the outward-facing elevation, ready to support the curved roofing sections.

And as the overall project continues on schedule, steelwork has now emerged on top of the east stand structure, which will mirror the west stand build.

Internally, work is gearing up, with close to 600 workers now on site as the preliminary west and east stand fit-outs continue.
