Alex Iwobi has outlined the big changes that Sean Dyche has made behind the scenes at Everton's Finch Farm training ground.

Quoted by the Liverpool ECHO, the Nigeria international told The Beautiful Game Podcast: "It would be easier to say what's stayed the same. The food. Probably just the food!

"We train with shin pads now, we train with high socks, no hats, no snoods. The fining system is different. Even build-up before games. Normally you stay in a hotel before games, especially home games, we don't do that anymore.

"He just wants us to work hard. However, you approach a game, you have to approach training the same. You have to run, treat every day like it's your last sort of thing.

"Before every game, sometimes even before training, on a powerpoint slide, 'minimum requirement, maximum effort', gets slapped in bold.”

Elsewhere, as reported by the Deepdale Digest, Tom Cannon has revealed that Seamus Coleman regularly contacts him with words of encouragement.

Cannon is currently on loan at Preston North End and the young striker has scored three times in his past six outings.

His form has seen him earn a first call-up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad in this international break.

“Séamus is always the first with the arm around the shoulder,” he told the Irish Independent.

“He always comes over and makes sure you’re alright.

“Since I’ve been away with Preston, he’s been dropping me texts after games and saying I’m playing well and to keep going, which is always nice.”

In transfer news, Everton have been linked with a move for France international, Marcus Thuram.

Thuram, who starred for France in the World Cup in Qatar, is out of contract at Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer and looks likely to leave the German club on a free transfer.

Reported by 90Min, and quoted by the Liverpool ECHO, it was claimed: "Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester and West Ham are all among Thuram’s lengthy list of suitors, with the Gladbach striker expecting plenty of offers this summer ahead of a probable exit from the Bundesliga."

Thuram is in fine form for his club side and has scored 15 goals from 26 appearances in all competitions this season.
