New Assistant Manager Ian Woan’s First Interview

Ian Woan joined Everton as Sean Dyche’s Assistant Manager at the end of last month - and you can watch his first interview with evertontv in the video below or by clicking here to watch on the official Everton YouTube channel.

A lifelong Evertonian, Woan played for the Blues’ youth team as a youngster.

Despite being released at 18, Woan enjoyed a successful playing career which is best known for his time at Nottingham Forest, where he spent 10 years and made more than 200 appearances.

Whilst at Forest, Woan met teammate Sean Dyche, and the pair went on to reunite as coaches, working at both Watford and Burnley together.

Woan and Dyche spent almost a decade at Burnley, where they oversaw the club’s promotion to the Premier League.

Regularly exceeding expectations throughout their time with the Clarets, Burnley secured European football under the management of Dyche and Woan.
