Everton Under-21s midfielder Tyler Onyango has joined League One club Forest Green Rovers on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

The 19-year-old spent the first half of the campaign with Burton Albion, making 24 appearances in all competitions for the Brewers.

Onyango, who joined Everton Academy at the age of eight, now moves to The New Lawn Stadium to become the first addition for new Forest Green manager Duncan Ferguson after the Everton Giant was appointed to the role on Thursday.

England Under-18 international Onyango has made four substitutes’ appearances for Everton’s senior team, his previous appearance coming against Aston Villa in January 2022 when Ferguson was the Blues’ caretaker manager.
