Everton Stadium South Stand Roof Takes Shape

The first full-span roof truss has been completed at Everton Stadium.

The final section was secured in place this week, with the three sections now bolted together and spanning the rear of the ‘home end’ of the development at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Two full-span roof trusses are still be installed in the south stand, and one in the north. Each of these trusses comprises of three sections.

Meanwhile, the brick facades that clad the north west corner of the build have been expanded to wrap the south west corner.

The panels will eventually clad all external walls, incorporating elements of the historic Goodison Park latticework pioneered by the famous Scottish stadium architect, Archibald Leitch.

The early stages of the internal fit-out continue in the west stand, with drainage pipes being installed ahead of the next major development, next month, which sees the arrival of the six-foot-high ‘techwall’ modules that include all of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing components.
