Southampton are reportedly leading the race to sign defender Michael Keane this window, according to a report from Sky Sports.

The Everton centre-half has been subject to interest in January and a move to the south-coast Premier League side looks likely if an agreement is reached.

Keane is contracted until the summer of 2025 and a deal to the Saints could initially be on loan, according to Sky.

On potential incomings, football journalist Fabrizio Romano has named Everton as favourites to sign Manchester United's Anthony Elanga on loan this month.

The reporter said: “Everton are still interested in Anthony Elanga and could do a deal toward the end of the month as Everton are pushing. Many clubs are interested in Elanga but Everton are really pushing.”

Another potential incoming is Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma.

The Liverpool Echo believes the Spanish side are 'open' to allow the Dutchman to leave this window, with Everton one of a number of clubs interested in his signature.
