Incredible Fan-Made Banner Set To Be Unveiled

An incredible fan-made banner celebrating Everton's cult heroes is set to be revealed when Wolves visit Goodison Park on Boxing Day.

The flag is the latest creation of the Gwladys Street 1938 group, who were also responsible for the banner celebrating the contributions of the Club's black players over the years as part of Black History Month in October.

From Bob Latchford, who won the hearts of Evertonians with his goalscoring exploits in the 1970s, to present-day captain Seamus Coleman, whose chant is regularly heard at Goodison and beyond, a total of 20 former and current fan-favourites feature on the banner.

Coleman told evertontv: "It's amazing. The amount of hours that has gone into it - 150 hours, I believe - is incredible.

"It's a great honour to be on there, to be amongst so many great players and it'll be great to see it on the Gwladys.

"It's always a nice touch when you look over and you see something like this at the Gwladys Street - it gives the players confidence going into a game."

Club Ambassador and Blues FA Cup winner Graham Stuart, who is also included, added: "It's fantastic to be on there.

"As well as the amount of time that has been spent on it, the likeness of everybody is fantastic.

"That's what we've always had at this football club - characters... it's what makes Everton so special.

"We've had so many good characters, who were also excellent players, over the years."
