Blues To Reward Travelling Fans

Everton is ensuring supporters will pay nothing to attend the fourth-round Carabao Cup tie at Bournemouth, on Tuesday, 8 November.

The gesture is in recognition of the loyalty of Evertonians, who will be making the first of two trips to the south coast club in the space of four days, with the Blues also scheduled to face the Cherries again in the Premier League on Saturday, 12 November.

It is not the first time Everton has saluted fans in this way. The Chairman has, on several occasions, dipped into his own pocket to support travelling Blues for cup ties across the country.

This latest gesture is another example of Everton saluting the devotion and commitment of travelling supporters. With so many Blues making that long journey south twice in the same week, everybody at the Club, including the Chairman and the board, and manager Frank Lampard and his players were keen to demonstrate the huge appreciation for such amazing travelling support, which is never taken for granted.

Having sold-out the allocation for the fixture, all fans attending will be reimbursed for the value of their ticket. A credit-balance will be added to the account of the lead purchaser for the clash at The Vitality Stadium.

The credit, for the value of the match ticket, can be used against future Everton ticketing purchases. Supporters will not need to provide the Club with any additional information.

The gesture by the Club has been applauded by the Everton Fans’ Forum and Supporters’ Club Committee.
