Several newspapers report on the injury suffered by Everton full-back Nathan Patterson in Scotland’s 3-0 win over Ukraine at Hampden Park on Wednesday night.

Patterson appeared to land awkwardly after challenging for a header and was taken off after 26 minutes of the Nations League game.

Quotes from Scotland boss Steve Clarke feature in the Daily Mail. He said: “Nathan obviously felt something in his leg.

“We'll just have to wait and see how it pans out. Hopefully it's not too serious, and hopefully he's not out for too long.”

Everton defender Conor Coady features in the Liverpool Echo, with the centre-back praising Neal Maupay’s impact since joining Everton.

Frenchman Maupay hit a superb winning goal in Sunday’s 1-0 victory over West Ham United at Goodison Park.

“We have such confidence in Neal,” Coady said.

“We know what a fantastic finisher he is. He showed that again [against West Ham]. What a goal it was… that touch and finish, it was a real striker’s finish. It’s what he can do.

“He’s a fantastic footballer and he’s brought us ever so much.”

The Echo also includes the latest imagery from the site of the new Everton Stadium.
