In-Depth Iwobi Interview Headlines Packed Matchday Programme

A wide-ranging interview with in-form Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi headlines Everton’s matchday programme for Sunday’s Premier League fixture against West Ham United.

The Nigerian ace discusses his unwavering self-belief he could perform at a consistently high level for Everton and how boss Frank Lampard has given him the confidence to express himself.

Iwobi also reveals his inspiration for setting up his Project 17 community enterprise – and explains how the support of Evertonians has made him feel “unstoppable”.

"It's crazy – the passion, the roar,” added Iwobi, when describing the atmosphere at Goodison. "It's like you're going to war – not just for yourself and the team, but you're representing so many Evertonians. It's those moments you live for.”

Everton manager Frank Lampard, Club captain Seamus Coleman and CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale also write exclusively for fans in their programme notes and they pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Lampard writes: "Queen Elizabeth II led the nation with great honour, dignity and respect,

“The outpouring of emotion throughout the world over the past 10 days illustrates the immeasurable esteem in which she was held.

“As someone who has had the honour of meeting King Charles III and Prince William, my thoughts are with them and the Royal Family at this time as we honour the Queen’s magnificent service and dedication.”

Sunday’s programme also features a Q&A with James Tarkowski, while there is a round-up of the latest news from the Blues’ Women’s team as well the Under-21 and Under-18 sides.

We also catch up with Everton youth player turned West Ham legend Alvin Martin, and you can learn more about Blues’ right-back Nathan Patterson in our Lowdown feature.

The matchday programme is priced at £4 and will be available to purchase outside Goodison on Sunday as well as at our Everton One and Everton Two stores.
