Anthony Gordon is increasingly likely to remain at Everton this summer, according to football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks, but as the transfer deadline approaches in the coming days, Romano explains that negotiations have become "complicated" between the two clubs.

Speaking to German outlet, Wett Freunde he said: “There’s still a gap between what Everton are asking for and what Chelsea are offering.

“Everton would like to include some players like Armando Broja in the deal. But Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Armando so I’m not sure if he will be part of the negotiations so it’s complicated at the moment.

"We’ll have to wait and see what Chelsea will decide. But at the moment it is not in the final stages or advanced.”

Should Gordon leave the Club, the Blues have been linked with a member of the squad from tonight's opposition.

The Daily Mail reports that Leeds United's Daniel James is being considered as a possible replacement for the Everton Academy graduate.

Everton may face competition from Tottenham Hotspur who have shown initial interest in the 24-year-old.

Idrissa Gana Gueye "should commit" to Everton "very soon", RMC Sport claims.

The former Blues midfielder has been linked with a return to Merseyside for several weeks, and the French outlet is confident that a medical should take place in the next 48 hours.

Returning to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Everton have had a verbal proposal rejected for Shakhtar Donetsk's Mychajlo Mudryk.

Frank Lampard's side had reportedly offered €30million for the Ukrainian international.

Arsenal have been named as one of several clubs who may provide competition for Everton for his signature.
