A lifelong Evertonian will travel to Ukraine this weekend to deliver supplies to those in need following the Russian invasion of the country.

Indeed, Dave helped to purchased three reconditioned ambulances for his latest trip, filling them with vital provisions for the Ukrainian people.

On 27 August, Dave will be travelling to the heart of Ukraine – including visiting the capital, Kyiv – to deliver further supplies.

For Dave’s next trip, Everton Football Club have donated kits and club merchandise which will be given to local children.

Dave explained how he has a long-standing affinity with the country’s people.

“I have had friends and colleague in Ukraine for the past 15 years and visited Ukraine at least once year since then," he said.

“When one of my friends started to help refugees to leave Ukraine and take essentials back in, I just knew I could not sit around.

“The Ukrainian people have been extremely grateful for the donations. I have had many notes of thanks, including from the military, charities and even a personal thank you from a Ukrainian politician.”

Dave is still fundraising for Ukraine and is planning a project to help fund the purchase of prosthetic limbs.
