Ashley Cole

Ashley Cole was named Everton First-Team Coach days after former Chelsea and England teammate Frank Lampard’s appointment as manager.

A brilliant left-back across a hugely decorated 20 years as a player, Cole transitioned into coaching with Derby County immediately after finishing his career with the club in 2019.

Cole soon linked up with Lampard at Chelsea, where he worked as an Academy Coach. He accepted an additional position in summer 2021, when appointed assistant manager of England’s Under-21 team.

As a player, Cole began with Arsenal, where he won two Premier League titles and was a member of the Invincible team that completed a season unbeaten in 2003/04.

He joined Chelsea in 2006 and at Stamford Bridge won the Champions League and Europa League, along with one more Premier League title. Cole added four FA Cups to three won with Arsenal.

The former defender won 107 England caps, the fifth highest total of any outfield player.
