Everton have secured a "sensational talent" in new midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Le Parisian journalist Julien Laurens.

The 20-year-old's move to Merseyside was confirmed on Tuesday and Laurens says Evertonians should be excited for what the Belgian can deliver.

Speaking on The Blue Room podcast, the French journalist said: "He's an incredible talent, there is no doubt.

"Whether he is a big success straight away or whether you have to wait a little bit - I don't know. But he's got all the qualities to succeed in England.

"I think English football suits him perfectly and he suits English football perfectly in the sense that he's good on the ball, he's strong, he's intelligent, he's powerful - he's a [Aurelien] Tchouameni, he's a Paul Pogba bracket of player."

In transfer news, multiple reports have linked Everton with a move for Southampton's Che Adams.

The Athletic claims the Blues are exploring a loan deal, with an option to buy.

However, talkSPORT adds the Saints do not wish to sell the Scotland international in this transfer window.

Finally, five First Team players could depart the Club this summer, according to a report from the Daily Mail

The tabloid has named Allan, Andre Gomes, Michael Keane, Yerry Mina and Jean-Philippe Gbamin as players who could potentially move on from Everton in the coming weeks.
