Everton have been drawn away to Fleetwood Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

The Blues were ball number seven in the northern section of Wednesday night's draw and were paired with the League One side, managed by former Celtic and Scotland midfielder Scott Brown.

The tie at Highbury Stadium will be played on either Tuesday 23 August or Wednesday 24 August. The date, kick-off time and ticket details will be announced on Everton's digital channels in due course.

Everton faced Fleetwood away in the third round of the competition two years ago, when Alex Iwobi was on target in a 5-2 victory.

Fleetwood booked their place in the second round this season with a 1-0 home success over Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.
