I was just a young kid from Turkey who enjoyed playing video games.

One day I saw a phrase that caught my eye on a club's crest... 'Nil Satis Nisi Optimum'.

I had to find out what it meant and ever since that day I've used it as a life motto and, of course, supported Everton Football Club.

My name is Arda. I'm a university student from Turkey and I've been an Evertonian for more than 10 years now.

I vividly remember the day I became an Evertonian. 'Wow', I thought to myself. Nothing but the best is good enough. Then came the research about the Club's history and it blew me away.

Unfortunately, I have not been to Goodison Park - yet - but whenever I see pictures of the stadium on television it inspires me.

The supporters are incredible and I hope to be there and be part of it one day in the future.

When I talk football with people from my country, some react surprised that I support Everton and many have questions. 'Why?' they ask. Sure, a lot of people support clubs that are part of the so-called 'big six', but that doesn't interest me at all. My feelings for Everton are deep - and I'm deeply proud to support Everton.

For my last birthday, my mum surprised me with a cake that had an Everton crest on it. It really surprised me because she isn't interested at all in football - but she knows how I feel about Everton.

I will love this Club forever.

Up the Toffees!
