Onyango Agrees New Everton Deal

Everton midfielder Tyler Onyango has signed a new contract with the Club until the end of June 2025, and completed a season-long loan to League One club Burton Albion.

Onyango, 19, joined Everton Academy aged eight and was 17 when he made his senior debut, as a substitute in an FA Cup tie with Sheffield Wednesday in January 2021.

The teenager played three times off the bench in the Premier League last season after overcoming a long-term ankle injury.

Burton, managed by former Leeds United and Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, begin their campaign at Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Everton Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, said: “We are delighted to agree a new contract with Tyler.

“He has made impressive progress through our Academy, recognised with experience playing for our First Team, and we are looking forward to him continuing his development on loan with Burton this season.”
