Supporters' Clubs To Welcome Blues In Baltimore And Minneapolis

Everton's US Supporters' Club network is to host Blues fans from both sides of the Atlantic at welcome events to take place in Baltimore and Minneapolis later this month.

The free events, which have been organised by Supporters' Clubs in conjunction with Everton, will take place on Friday 15 July and Monday 18 July respectively, with all Evertonians welcome to attend and celebrate the First Team's arrival in the two cities.

Tim Howard and Leon Osman, Everton’s two leading Premier League appearance makers, will be the special guests when the Baltimore Toffees play hosts at Luckie’s Tavern on the eve of the Club’s clash with Arsenal at M&T Bank Stadium - home of the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.

Forty-eight hours after that contest, the doors of La Doña Cervecería Brewery - meeting place of the Minnesota Toffees - will open to welcome Evertonians and the Club to Minneapolis, with Osman again set to be in attendance. Everton will then take on Major League Soccer’s Minnesota United – coached by Blues Giant Adrian Heath - two days later, on Wednesday 20 July.

Both welcome events will include question-and-answer sessions with former players and fans hosted by Everton’s Darren Griffiths, with giveaways also planned to mark the Club’s return to the USA for a second successive summer.

AJ Rosenthal, Chair of the Baltimore Toffees Supporters' Club, said: "We can't wait to welcome Blues from across the States and across the Atlantic to celebrate Everton being in Charm City.” Mike Sproge, the point of contact for the Baltimore Toffees while the Club is in the US, added, “It will be a fantastic opportunity for Evertonians to get together on the night before the Arsenal match, meet fellow Blues, maybe even have a sing-along, and bring a little piece of that famous Goodison Park atmosphere to Baltimore."

Marc Mueller, Chair of the Minnesota Toffees, said: "We're so excited that Everton are coming to Minneapolis-St. Paul, and the event at La Doña Cervecería will be a great way to kick off the team's stay in the Twin Cities.

“Everton and Minnesota United are obviously connected by the great Adrian Heath and everywhere I go I am speaking to people who can't wait for the game and to see a team of Everton's quality and reputation at Allianz Field.

"Like the one in Baltimore, our event is open to all Evertonians, so I'd encourage anyone who's heading to Minnesota to come along, talk about the game and the season ahead, and celebrate the Blues being in town."

Everton's US Supporters' Club network has joined together to coordinate both nights following the success of last summer's welcome event in Orlando ahead of the First Team’s appearance at the Florida Cup.

Frank Lampard and a group of Everton players will also guest star at a sold-out event hosted by podcast and television show Men in Blazers in Washington DC on Thursday 14 July, with more supporter events to be confirmed on evertonfc.com in the coming days.
