Everton continue to be heavily linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks across several publications.

The Daily Mail claims Everton have “held further talks” with the north London club regarding the 26-year-old, with the paper suggesting the Blues “would prefer a loan option”.

Sky Sports also reports Everton are lining up a swoop for Winks, adding Toffees boss Frank Lampard has been “given the green light” to bring the England international to Goodison Park.

The Liverpool Echo speculates Everton could be interested in signing Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

The 20-year-old is also rumoured to be attracting the attention of West Ham United and Leeds United.

Broja spent last season on loan at Southampton, where he scored nine goals in 38 appearances.

Staying with the Echo, and the local read features quotes from Demarai Gray, who has described his close relationship with fellow Everton forward Anthony Gordon.

Speaking in an interview originally given to evertonfc.com, Gray said: “We come together naturally, playing the same position, and talk before and during every game, whoever is starting. I sit by him in the dressing room, so we talk at half-time, too. I class myself as a senior player. I’ve played hundreds of games, while he's just finished his first full Premier League season.

“I will always try to help him when I can, whether it is discussing an opposition player, or set-pieces, or how to use space on the pitch. It is easy to forget he is so young, because he plays with such maturity.”
