Richarlison On Target In Brazil Win

Richarlison opened the scoring to help Brazil to a 5-1 away victory over South Korea in a friendly on Thursday afternoon.

The Everton forward celebrated his 35th cap for the Seleção by netting his 14th international strike inside seven minutes.

The hosts equalised through Ui-jo Hwang on the half-hour mark, before Neymar converted two penalties either side of half-time to put Brazil ahead at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

With Tite's side in full control, Richarlison was replaced by Vinícius Júnior, who last week netted the winner in the Champions League final, with 20 minutes remaining.

Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus then notched in the closing stages to seal a comprehensive win.

Brazil, who have already secured their place at the World Cup in Qatar later this year, remain in East Asia for their next friendly, with a trip to Tokyo to take on Japan scheduled for Monday 6 June.

Richarlison's final game for his nation this summer will be another friendly against rivals Argentina in Melbourne, Australia, on Saturday 11 June.

Alex Iwobi was also in international action in Thursday, with the Everton attacker player playing the full 90 minutes as Nigeria were edged out 1-0 by Ecuador in New Jersey.

Villarreal full-back Pervis Estupiñán scored the only goal of the friendly encounter on three minutes.

Nigeria are back in action on Thursday 9 June when they host Sierra Leone in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
