Academy midfielder Lewis Warrington is set to be part of Frank Lampard's pre-season plans, according to The Athletic.

The 19-year-old - who extended his contract with Everton yesterday - spent the second half of the 2021/22 season with League Two outfit Tranmere Rovers, making 17 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

Staying with The Athletic, a report claims the Blues could form an an affiliate link with Tranmere Rovers.

The proposed plan could see Everton's youngsters travel across the water to gain senior football experience at Prenton Park.

In transfer news, Spanish outlet Sport claims Barcelona forward Memphis Depay could move to Goodison Park this summer.

The former Manchester United man netted 13 goals for the Catalan side last season and could move on for a fee in the region of £17million.
