Route Change Ahead of Coach Welcome

Ahead of Everton’s final home game of the 2021/22 season, supporters’ groups will once again stage a welcoming committee to greet the players as the team coach arrives at Goodison Park.

Any fans wishing to take part in the coach welcome are advised of the route change being taken by the Everton coaches on their arrival to Goodison Park.

Supporters’ groups are encouraging fans to line the kerbside (not the road) on Walton Lane as the Everton coaches are driven past the Abbey Pub and past Everton One from 5:45pm. The vehicles will pass the Hot Wok opposite the Dixie Dean statue on Spellow Lane and then drive on to Goodison Road.

The new route gives more fans the opportunity to see the coach arrival across a larger stretch of road while also ensuring the safety of supporters, Club and security staff and members of the local community.

Supporter’s groups have delivered two incredible coach welcomes so far and are asking fellow Blues to turn out for the last time at home this season by ‘bringing your banners, your flags and your noise’ as Everton entertain Crystal Palace on Thursday evening (7:45pm kick off).

The Club’s Fan Engagement team has continued to work alongside supporters’ groups including the Everton Fans’ Forum on a range of banners that will adorn the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End.

For more information and to stay up to date on the coach welcome, please follow the Everton Fans’ Forum twitter account @EFC_FansForum.

All supporters attending the match at Goodison Park are reminded that smoke bombs and flares are not permissible inside the stadium.

Under strict stadium guidelines, any form of smoke emitting cannisters or pyrotechnics are strictly prohibited.

Supporters are especially reminded of the dangers of anything producing a naked flame or a spark.

Spot checks will be taking place at turnstiles on entry to the stadium and any smoke bombs or flares found will be confiscated.

Any supporter caught with such items inside the stadium runs the risk of arrest and a subsequent stadium ban.
