Everton Boss Gives Team News Update

Frank Lampard has confirmed Richarlison and Andre Gomes are available for Sunday’s Premier League clash at Leicester City - and revealed Ben Godfrey is set to return to training next week.

Donny van de Beek will miss the game at King Power Stadium with a groin injury.

Richarlison was substituted 10 minutes from time in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Chelsea and Lampard explained the Brazilian – who scored the winning goal in that game – has been feeling some pain in his ankle since the Merseyside derby on 24 April.

The Blues boss believes the influential attacker “will be fine” for the Leicester match, however.

Godfrey is not ready for a return to competitive action on Sunday but is scheduled to resume training with his teammates at Finch Farm “in the middle of next week”.

Andros Townsend (ACL) and Nathan Patterson (ankle) will be out for the remainder of the season.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is in contention for selection against Leicester, having been an unused substitute in the Chelsea win. The striker was unable to feature in the Merseyside derby the previous weekend due to a minor quadriceps issue.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Lampard said: “We’ve had a good week of training and recovery for the lads.

“Andre is back in the squad, but Donny isn’t.

“Richy has got a bit of a sore ankle from where he twisted it against Liverpool, but hopefully he will be fine.

“Ben Godfrey is not fit but will hopefully be training with us in the middle of next week.”
