A late goal consigned Everton Under-18s to a 1-0 defeat at Stoke City in their penultimate U18 Premier League (North) game of the season on Tuesday evening.

The young Blues looked set to earn a point from a closely-contested battle at Stoke's Clayton Wood ground, but Nathan Lowe struck six minutes from time to snatch victory for the home team.

The result means Everton remain seventh in the league standings.

Paul Tait's team will conclude their 2021/22 campaign on Tuesday 3 May when they host Nottingham Forest at Finch Farm (7pm BST).
