Learn All About Under-23s Ace McAllister Ahead Of Hammers Clash

Everton Under-23s are in Premier League 2 action against West Ham United on Monday night (7pm BST) – and ahead of the game you can learn more about  Blues' midfielder Sean McAllister as he answers a mixed bag of questions below!

Please note, Monday night's game is taking place behind-closed-doors at Everton's Finch Farm training complex after moving from Southport FC.

Football hero?

A big one would have actually been Frank Lampard. When I started playing in central midfield as a youngster, I would watch his late runs into the box and his goalscoring ability. He was one of the best.

Last TV show watched?

Top Boy. I’ve just finished the latest season. It’s very, very good.

Nickname?

Some people call me Macca and some call me SP, because my full Christian name is actually Sean-Paul.

What gets on your nerves?

Not a lot. I think I’m quite a calm person.

Favourite place visited?

One of my first ever trips away with the Northern Ireland youth team was to Qatar, and I really enjoyed that. I was only about 11 or 12 and it was amazing.

Favourite sportsperson?

Rory McIlroy. I think he’s got a really good attitude and he’s very level-headed. He’s always hungry to make himself better, too.

Who knows you best?

That would have to be my mum and dad.

Initiation song?

It was I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys. It went pretty well and everybody joined in, which made it easier!

Best player faced?

Whenever I was quite a bit younger, I played against Karamoko Dembele at Celtic. He was so direct and fast, and he’s got the skills as well.

Who would win an Everton Under-23s Royal Rumble?

I’d have to say Seb Kristensen. The Great Dane! He’s a very strong lad.

Song choice for dressing room playlist?

I’d go for I’m Feeling It by Cascada.

Funniest person you’ve met in football?

I’d have to give it to Joe Anderson here at Everton. This is my first season with him and he’s always up to something!

What motivates you?

There are a lot of people who motivate me, but my dad is probably the biggest one. He took me to all my games as a youngster and he is very good at giving motivational speeches, too! I just want to make him proud.
