Everton Boss Gives Team News Update

Frank Lampard says Everton captain Seamus Coleman and midfielder Fabian Delph are in contention to start Saturday’s game against Manchester United (12.30pm BST) – and he is hopeful Yerry Mina could return when the Blues host Leicester City on Wednesday 20 April.

Coleman was named on the bench at Burnley on Wednesday night but Lampard explained the Irishman was not fit to play due to illness.

The right-back is available for the United game, however, along with Delph, who was also among the substitutes at Turf Moor after recovering from a thigh problem.

Towering defender Mina is not ready to feature in Saturday’s match as he continues his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury, but Lampard hopes to be able to call on the Colombian when Leicester visit Goodison in just under a fortnight.

Michael Keane and Allan are available for the United game after serving suspensions.

Midfielder Donny van de Beek is ineligible to feature against his parent club.

Nathan Patterson also misses out – Lampard revealed earlier this week that the right-back could miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

Andros Townsend (knee) and Tom Davies (hamstring) remain absent for Everton.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference at Finch Farm on Friday, Lampard said: "Seamus Coleman was still feeling the effects of not being well on Wednesday night and wasn’t fit to play.

"He is now in consideration. That’s a nice boost for the game tomorrow.

"It’s been a busy week for us, physically.

"Playing on Wednesday night then early on Saturday is a tough one. So having some freshness is good.

"Fabian Delph is in the squad. He is fit and available.

"With Yerry Mina, we hope will he will be fit for Leicester."
