Lampard Reveals Team News For Cup Quarter-Final

Frank Lampard says Jordan Pickford will not be available for Everton's Emirates FA Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace on Sunday (12.30pm GMT).

The England goalkeeper will miss the trip to Selhurst Park due to the same illness that kept him out of Thursday's dramatic 1-0 victory over Newcastle United.

Allan is set to serve the first of a three-match suspension after being sent off against the Magpies. However, manager Lampard confirmed the Club's intention to appeal the Brazilian's dismissal.

January signings Donny van de Beek, Dele and Anwar El Ghazi will also be unavailable due to being Cup-tied.

Defender Jonjoe Kenny returns, though, having served a one-match ban after being sent off against Wolves.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Lampard said: "We have the players that are Cup-tied and Donny [van de Beek] still isn't well, but he's one of those anyway.

"Jordan [Pickford] won't be fit for the game.

"In terms of injuries, it's probably a bit more of an assessment of how the players are.

"It's a really quick turnaround. We haven't been helped by the timing of the game being at 12.30pm.

"I think the broadcasters picked the 'big boys', as they see it, to get bigger numbers later on in the afternoon, which would have been better for us, but we have to dig in and handle that.

"We'll assess the players over the next 24 hours.

"The rest of the squad is as it was [before Newcastle]."

Earlier this week, Lampard revealed Fabian Delph could return to training during the upcoming international break following a thigh problem.

Mina (quadriceps) and Davies (hamstring) remain longer-term absentees.
