Anna Anvegård insists Everton Women will head into Wednesday evening’s clash against Chelsea full of confidence as they seek to take points off the reigning Barclays FA Women’s Super League champions (7pm GMT).

The Toffees, who beat Leicester City 3-2 in a thrilling contest on Saturday night, head into the clash in fine form following three consecutive victories.

Chris Roberts' side now face quick turnaround ahead of their next Walton Hall Park fixture, with title-chasing Chelsea the visitors on Wednesday evening.

Anvegård, who scored a brace against Leicester last time out, believes the Blues' run of positive results has provided an ideal foundation to take the game to their next opponents.

“It’s a really good feeling to win a tough game like this,” Anvegård told evertontv following Saturday’s win.

“I hope we build some momentum now

“It’s important for the team to score a lot of goals and win tough games.

“We’ve won three games in a row now so it’s now about building upon that and keeping the confidence levels really high for what will be a tough game against Chelsea.”

Speaking afterwards, Anvegård reflected on the impact the of the support and the special feeling of playing in front of a group of fellow Swedes.

“It was great to have them here, we heard them the whole game!” she added.

“They were screaming in Swedish, so it felt like we were back home which was amazing to see.”
