Kenny: I've Seen Power Of Evertonians From Both Sides

First of all, everyone knows Monday was a tough one to take. We didn't show what we're about and the lads were gutted and embarrassed afterwards - because that's not who we are and that's not what Everton is. We know Everton is not to be represented like that.

The criticism that came our way from the media was normal - it's what happens after a defeat like that. We're grown men and we can take it on the chin. It's part and parcel of football - one minute you're a hero, the next you don't belong at this level.

But I know what's in the changing room, I know the people in this club and what the staff are about and I have confidence.

The only thing we can focus on now is these next two games to put it right. We've shown we're more than capable but we need to be more consistent.

At home we've been really strong under the new manager and the crowd that we have and the impact they have on games is clear. It's difficult for any team to come to Goodison. I know it may sound cliché but our fans are everything to us.

A lot of footballers speak about fans, but I'm one of them. I've been in the stands myself, I've supported the Club and I know from both sides - supporting and playing - what the support can do for the team on the pitch. It's incredible.

They know they're massive for us but it's always noticed and never taken for granted.

We need to take advantage of that in these next two games.

I can assure you our changing room is full of good lads - everyone wants to win for this football club. We know the situation we're in and we know we've got to get through it.

There are 13 games left - a third of the season - and the quality we've got, the personalities we've got means we can go and win football matches. It's up to us to stand up to the challenge and do that.

Finally, I have loved being back in the team, playing for Everton again.

Frank and his coaching staff have been a different class. They've given me - and the rest of the lads - a massive boost.

He's given me a shot of belief. I knew what I could do previously but I've been lucky enough that Frank has put that trust in me.

I've played in a few different positions since he came in. I can do that and I'm more than willing to do it.

I'll do anything I possibly can to benefit Everton Football Club.
