Boss Reveals Team News For Boreham Wood Tie

Frank Lampard has confirmed Vitalii Mykolenko will start Everton's FA Cup fifth-round tie with Boreham Wood at Goodison Park on Thursday (8.15pm GMT).

Academy graduate Tyler Onyango (hernia) is the only fresh injury concern for Lampard ahead of the visit of the National League outfit.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss out with an adductor complaint that the Everton boss revealed ahead of Manchester City on Saturday would keep the England striker sidelined for "7-10 days".

January recruits Dele, Donny van de Beek and Anwar El Ghazi, meanwhile, will also be unavailable due to being cup-tied.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Demarai Gray are available for selection after overcoming groin and hip problems respectively to make their comebacks in the controversial 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last time out.

Ben Godfrey (hamstring), Yerry Mina (quadriceps tendon), Fabian Delph (thigh) and Tom Davies (hamstring) remain absent.

"[Mykolenko] will play tomorrow," revealed Lampard in Wednesday's pre-match press conference. "That was a decision I made regardless of the outside situation - purely on a football decision.

"Of course, you have to be very aware of the life decision for him at the moment and he will play.

"We'll see about any kind of gesture but the fact is he's starting the game and that's the decision.

"I don't want to answer those questions for him [whether or not football is helping at the moment], but it feels like the training and potential of playing is a relief.

"The conversations I've had - I'd rather keep private, because they are delicate.

"But we're giving him all the support and I'm sure he feels that from our end.

"He's also a new player here. There are so many things that have happened to him - he's a young man coming over here, moving to a new country, different city, different football club and he's now having to contend with all of this.

"He has all of our support."
