Quotes from Dominic Calvert-Lewin's evertontv interview feature in a number of media outlets, including the Liverpool Echo.

The Blues striker opened up on his battle back from a troublesome quadriceps injury - but says he feels himself getting closer to his best with every minute on the pitch.

Speaking on the disappointing defeat to Southampton, Calvert-Lewin said: "On a personal note, it’s good for me to have got through 90 minutes against Southampton.

"But the result was the most important thing, and we were very disappointed with that – and I’d like to apologise to the fans who made the long trip down there.

"We know how disappointed they will be and all I can say is we will work hard to put that right."

Jean-Phillipe Gbamin is another player who features heavily in Tuesday's media, including the Daily Mail.

The Ivorian midfielder has completed a loan move to Russian outfit CSKA Moscow for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Finally, reports in Calciomercato suggest Everton have joined the race to sign VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vrancx this summer.

A central midfielder, the 19-year-old Belgian has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Bundesliga club, with his "work ethic in the middle of the park, aggression, effectiveness in the second line of press and a killer right foot that makes him a threat from long-range" said to have attracted a host of clubs across Europe.
