The Liverpool Echo expects former England international Ashley Cole to join Frank Lampard's backroom staff at the Club.

The pair played alongside one another during their time at Chelsea and the Merseyside outlet claims that Cole is ready to leave his youth coaching role at the London side to join Everton.

Also from the Echo, the tabloid states Tim Cahill is being lined up for a formal role at the Club.

The paper reports the former Blues midfielder helped advise Majority Shareholder Farhad Moshiri during the Club's managerial search.

In other news, Italian outlet Il Mattino states Everton attempted to sign Kalidou Koulibaly and Victor Osimhen of Napoli late in January transfer window, but had both approaches turned down by the Serie A side.
