Richarlison Shortlisted For Goal Prize

Everton forward Richarlison's impudent overhead-kick strike against Norwich City is on the shortlist for January's Premier League Budweiser Goal of the Month prize.

Richarlison marked his return from a five-week injury absence in eye-catching fashion at Carrow Road.

The Brazilian had been on the field only six minutes after a second-half introduction when he twisted his body to meet a dropping ball in the penalty area and send an acrobatic effort looping beyond goalkeeper Tim Krul.

Richarlison, who has four goals from 11 Premier League starts this season, is vying for the January award with seven top-flight counterparts.

The Argentine pair of Manuel Lanzini from West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion's Alexis Mac Allister are nominated for the prize.

They are joined in the running by the Chelsea duo of Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech, while Southampton have two contenders in Kyle Walker-Peters and James Ward-Prowse.

Joshua Sargent of Norwich City completes the eight-strong list of contenders.

Voting for January's Premier League Budweiser Goal of the Month prize is now open until midday on Monday 31 January.

The winner will be announced at 1pm on Friday 4 February.
