Rumours continue to circulate regarding Everton's search for a new manager.

Reports in the Daily Mirror suggest the Blues have "pulled back" from an imminent appointment of Vitor Pereira.

The same article claims there is a determination within the Club to explore viable alternatives to Pereira over the next 24 hours, with the idea of an interim manager now a possibility.

It is reported Derby County boss Wayne Rooney is set to be interviewed for the position, while Frank Lampard, Roberto Martinez, Niko Kovac and Rudi Garcia are also mentioned.

Elsewhere, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano believes there is "no way" for current Belgium manager Martinez to make a return to Goodison Park.

Away from the rumours, in the Liverpool Echo, a report from Monday night's Under-23s game features, including a glowing report for January recruit Nathan Patterson, who played 60 minutes of the young Blues' 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur and provided an assist for Lewis Dobbin's crucial goal.
