Alex Iwobi's Africa Cup of Nations journey came to a close on Sunday evening after Nigeria suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tunisia.

It was a disappointing night for the Super Eagles as Youssef Msakni's strike shortly after the half-time interval proved the difference in the round of 16.

Iwobi was introduced in the 59th minute, only to be sent off seven minutes later after a VAR review that upgraded a yellow card to a red.

The 25-year-old will now return to USM Finch Farm and rejoin his Club teammates on Merseyside.
