Abdoulaye Doucoure Update

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure sustained a groin injury in Saturday's Premier League meeting with Aston Villa and will begin treatment under the care of the Club's medical staff at USM Finch Farm.

Frenchman Doucoure was hurt after half-time and replaced by Tyler Onyango with 25 minutes remaining at Goodison Park.

Caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson told evertontv soon after full-time that Doucoure, who has started 16 league matches this season, had suffered a groin problem and the diagnosis was subsequently confirmed.

Everton return to action when Brentford visit Goodison for an FA Cup fourth-round tie on Saturday 5 February. The Premier League campaign resumes with a game at Newcastle United on 8 February.
