The Liverpool Echo reacts to last night's news that Anwar El Ghazi has joined Everton on loan for the remainder of the season.

The local outlet analysed the Dutch winger's stats from his time in the Premier League so far and discussed how he can offer an attacking threat to Rafa Benitez's side.

"The 2020/21 season was an excellent one for El Ghazi in terms of goals as he hit double figures in the league," they wrote.

"He was in the Premier League’s top 10 for frequency of scoring non-penalty goals while playing as a winger/wide forward.

"The winger was seventh in the Premier League for shots per 90 minutes last season, tucked between Mason Greenwood and Mohamed Salah in the standings.

"If Everton can get the ball to him rather than expecting him to provide it to others, then El Ghazi might provide a little pep from which the their attack could certainly benefit."

The Club's transfer business isn't finished just yet, according to other reports.

Sport Witness believes Everton are in talks to sign Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

Their source claims that the Blues are having discussions with the Russian international's agent, but also face competition from West Ham United.

A move for the Ligue 1 player could prove difficult this window, though, with Monaco said to be reluctant to sell and would demand a fee in the region of €40-50million.
