THE GAME PLAN

Important Entry Requirements For Brighton Fixture

Supporters are urged to complete the self-certification form ahead of attending the new year Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion at Goodison Park on Sunday (2pm GMT kick-off).

Entry to Goodison is subject to new protocols as part of the Government’s ‘Plan B’ legal requirements, which dictate that adult supporters are required to demonstrate proof of at least two vaccine doses (COVID Pass) or a negative lateral flow test taken within the 48 hours prior to kick-off.

These measures will be in place for our home clash with Brighton and Hove Albion on 2 January.

- Supporters aged 18 and over are urged to complete the self-certification form emailed to them. This will confirm a supporter’s COVID status before attending Goodison Park. If you previously completed this form ahead of the postponed Leicester City or Newcastle United games, you do not need to repeat the process for each subsequent fixture.

- All match attendees aged 18 and over to bring a valid COVID Pass or proof of a negative lateral flow/PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to kick-off. Supporters must be able and prepared to show relevant documentation when asked.

- All match attendees to arrive early as matchday spot checks, in line with Premier League requirements, will be increased significantly. The new measures will likely have an impact on entry times to Goodison Park.

All match attendees unable to show a valid COVID Pass (provided they do not have an exemption pass) or proof of a negative lateral flow/PCR test will be denied entry to Goodison Park. This will also impact a supporter’s ability to attend future games until they can prove they have met the legal requirements of stadium entry.

For clarity, the accepted evidence of vaccine certification are:
- NHS COVID-19 Pass, PDF Form, or a GP Paper Letter.

Accepted evidence of lateral flow test/PCR negative result:
- NHS email or text message.

Accepted evidence of exemption:
- Evidence of exemption will now only be accepted in the form of an NHS COVID Pass or a GP Letter. Without this pass, exempt supporters will not be able to access Goodison Park.

There are currently no COVID requirements for under-18s. However, we do strongly encourage supporters in all age groups to take a test on the day of the game, for the additional safety of fellow fans and Club staff.

Anyone purchasing tickets for multiple supporters for future fixtures will be asked, as part of the purchase process, to confirm that all members in the party are either double vaccinated, medically exempt or will take a lateral flow test up to 48 hours prior to kick-off.

The safety and security of our supporters, staff and the local community is Everton’s priority and all visitors to Goodison Park are asked to understand this is a developing situation and the rules stated above are liable to change, dependent upon Government and Premier League guidelines.

Supporters attending all fixtures, home and away, should also bring a face covering to wear when in the stadium, in line with government guidance on gatherings in enclosed places, and should arrive at the stadium in good time.

All payments inside the stadium will remain contactless, to speed movement through concourses and minimise contact at all points of sale.

As part of the matchday Code of Conduct, supporters should not attend any fixture if they have COVID-19, returned a positive COVID-19 test - as part of their lateral flow or PCR test within 48 hours of this fixture, if they have any COVID symptoms – including a high temperature, new continuous cough, or a loss of sense of taste/smell, or have cold-like symptons.

FAQs

What if I have no email to receive the self-certification form?

This may be because your email address is not registered with the club. Any home supporter who has not registered an email with Everton should contact the Fan Centre on 0151 556 1878, or if you are a Hospitality member, the Hospitality team on 0151 808 1500 / Hospitality@evertonfc.com

How do I present evidence of exemption?

Anyone who is exempt from vaccinations should register through the NHS. This can be done via the NHS website, calling 119 or by arrangement with your GP. More details are available by visiting the Government website

I am not vaccinated, what if I can’t get a lateral flow test?

Information on lateral flow test and collection sites in Liverpool, including opening times, is available by clicking here. If you cannot verify your Covid status by use of a lateral flow test, and are not vaccinated, it is a legal requirement that you will not be permitted entry to the stadium and should not travel to Goodison Park. Please ring the Everton Fan Centre on 0151 556 1878 for more information.

What is the procedure for visiting supporters?

The onus is on the away clubs to inform their own supporters of the protocols at Goodison Park. Everton will be in contact with the relevant departments of all visiting clubs to provide their staff and supporters with the relevant information and entry requirements. All visiting supporters will be asked and checked for their COVID status upon entry to the away section at Goodison Park.

What if I am buying/selling my ticket through the Club’s re-sale platform?

Self-certification will be required prior to entering the stadium in the same way it does for match ticket purchasers. If you have not received an email for self-certification you should contact the Fan Centre on 0151 556 1878.

What if someone else is using my Season Ticket?

It is the Season Ticket Member’s responsibility to ensure that anyone attending the game on their Season Ticket is compliant with the entry requirements. There will be spot checks taking place at Goodison Park and all attendees could be required to prove they have been vaccinated OR evidence a negative lateral flow test taken within the last 48 hours. Failure to produce evidence of either could result in supporters not being able to access the stadium.

Will I receive a refund for my match tickets if I do not meet the entry requirements?

Refunds will not be issued on the basis of fans not meeting the entry safety requirements.

If I have not been allowed entry to Goodison Park, how do I prove my Covid vaccination status at a later stage to be allowed entry in the future?

Supporters who have been refused entry must email servicedesk@evertonfc.com, or visit Goodison Park, to provide proof of their vaccine status, or provide a negative test result within 48 hours of kick-off for the next fixture.

What procedure will Hospitality guests and hosts need to follow?

Every guest attending a fixture will need to be prepared to show their COVID Pass or negative test result. However, you may allow a lead booker to complete the pre-registration ahead of matchday if you are in contact with them.

Do the measures apply to under 18s?

No. Only over-18s need to follow the above guidelines. However, we strongly encourage supporters in all age groups to take a test on the day of the game, for the additional safety of fellow fans.

What do vaccinated overseas supporters have to provide as proof? Are their vaccine records accepted?

Any international proof of vaccination recognised by the NHS, as equivalent to the NHS COVID Pass, will be accepted. More details here are available by clicking here. Negative lateral flow test taking within 48 hours of kick-off will also be accepted.
