Benitez Names Everton Team

Yerry Mina returns to Everton’s starting XI and there is a place in the team for Anthony Gordon, as Rafa Benitez makes two changes for Monday’s Premier League encounter with Arsenal.

Andre Gomes is fit enough for a place on the bench following more than two months on the sidelines with a calf problem.

Colombian centre-half Mina last featured against Manchester United on 2 October and has recovered from a hamstring issue to partner Michael Keane in the middle of defence.

Captain Seamus Coleman plays at right-back, while Ben Godfrey is poised for a shift to the left of the back four.

Richarlison is set to lead Everton’s attack, with the trio of Gordon, Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend operating behind the Brazilian forward.

Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure start in midfield for Everton. Jordan Pickford retains his place in goal.

Gomes, whose most recent Premier League appearance came at Aston Villa on 18 September, is joined on the bench by Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Fabian Delph, Cenk Tosun and Alex Iwobi.

Manager Benitez’s complement of substitutes is completed by defenders Mason Holgate – available again after a three-match suspension – Jarrad Branthwaite and Jonjoe Kenny and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
