Benitez Names Everton XI For Brentford Clash

Abdoulaye Doucoure returns from a six-week absence to begin Everton’s Premier League meeting with Brentford on Sunday.

Rafa Benitez makes three changes in all for the game in West London. Alex Iwobi is in for Demarai Gray and, with Richarlison serving a one-match ban, there is a sixth league start for Salomon Rondon following the Venezuelan's August arrival.

Frenchman Doucoure, absent since the Goodison Park fixture with West Ham United on 17 October, partners Allan in the centre of midfield.

Rondon leads the attack, with Iwobi, Andros Townsend and Anthony Gordon in support.

Captain Seamus Coleman starts at right-back and Lucas Digne is on the left of defence. Michael Keane and Ben Godfrey are paired at centre-half.

England number one Jordan Pickford continues in goal.

Gray is fit enough for a place on the bench, where the winger is joined by Cenk Tosun, Jean-Phillipe Gbamin, Fabian Delph and Jarrad Branthwaite.

Manager Benitez’s nine-strong complement of substitutes additionally features the Academy-grown trio of Jonjoe Kenny, Ellis Simms and Lewis Dobbin and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
