Coleman's Ireland Cruise Past Luxembourg

Séamus Coleman and the Republic of Ireland concluded their World Cup qualifying campaign with an impressive 3-0 win away in Luxembourg.

Former Everton defender, Shane Duffy headed in the visitors opener before goals from Chiedozie Ogbene and Callum Robinson ensured a third placed finish behind Serbia and Portugal.

It was Coleman's second clean sheet within a week as the Blues full-back helped to ensure his nation concluded their international break on a high.

Despite the positive end to the campaign, Ireland will miss out on next winter's World Cup in Qatar having last appeared in the competition in 2002.

Coleman will now return to USM Finch Farm as the Blues prepare to face the reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City next weekend.
