Jean-Luc Vasseur began his tenure as Everton Women manager with a 3-1 away win against Leicester City in the Continental Cup on Wednesday night.
The French boss' reign got off to a dream start when Anna Anvegård latched on to Toni Duggan's pass and found the top corner via a deflection with less than two minutes on the clock.
The Blues took confidence from the early strike, dominating possession and looking dangerous in attack at the Foxes' Pirelli Stadium.
Izzy Christiansen deservedly doubled Everton's lead six minutes before the half-time interval with a superb left-footed curling shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Vasseur's side retained their control of the contest in the second period, restricting the hosts to half chances in front of goal.
Leicester did eventually find a way through, as Ashleigh Plumptre pounced on a rebound to prod home from close range with 10 minutes left to play.
Any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished, though, when substitute Valérie Gauvin regained the two-goal cushion five minutes later.
Captain-for-the-night Christiansen was again involved, this time providing a cross from the right flank for France international Guavin to head into the back of the net.
The victory sees Everton register their first three points in Group B - and the Toffees know they require maximum points from their final two fixtures - against Durham and Manchester United - to have a chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
