In Wedneday's media, there is reaction to the news that Blues midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a stress response in a bone in his foot.

Sky Sports' Ben Grounds highlights the importance of the Frenchman, who has covered 91.3km so far this season - more than any other player in the Premier League.

Doucoure is also ranked first in the Everton squad for passing accuracy (82.8 per cent), duels won (43) and won possession (72).

In yet another injury blow for Rafa Benitez, Dominic Calvert-Lewin's fitness is discussed in the Liverpool Echo.

The local read reports the Club will not put an exact timescale on the striker's return from a thigh injury that has seen him sidelined since the end of August.

Elsewhere in the Echo, the form of Yerry Mina is hailed, with the Colombian described as "undroppable" after missing Sunday's defeat to West Ham.

There are also quotes from Dan Meis, with the designer of Everton’s new stadium being built at Bramley-Moore dock revealing he will soon be “re-engaged” on the project.

And finally, there are transfer rumours from Footballer Insider, claiming the Club is keeping tabs on Morecambe's 17-year-old left-back Connor Pye.
