Transfer rumours once again feature in Wednesday's media.

Turkish publication Takvim claims Fenerbahce could make a January swoop for Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

In the Daily Star, the Blues are once again linked with Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek, as the Red Devils reportedly look to fund the signing of Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni.

Elsewhere, in The Athletic, it is reported the Toffees are on the look-out for a data engineer in a bid to find an edge in the transfer market.

The addition would see a move towards an approach that is commonplace in US sports, such as the NBA, where clubs have four to five data analytics experts.

It is written only Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League can boast similar numbers at present.

And finally, in the Liverpool Echo, former defender Alan Stubbs has heaped praise on Ben Godfrey, claiming the 23-year-old will become the Club's best defender.

He said: “For me, Ben Godfrey will be the best out of all of them, and it will be him and one other at some point.

“Once he gets more experience, he has fantastic attributes to be very good, but the one thing you need as a defender is experience because it helps you improve so much.”
