What The Papers Say - 12 October

Italian outlet, Calciomercato, claims Everton are in a race with Newcastle United and Crystal Palace for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Italian giants are reportedly willing to let the Wales international leave in the January transfer window.

Elsewhere, former Everton striker Kevin Campbell has commented on rumours the Blues are interested in Real Betis and France playmaker Nabil Fekir.

“I tell you something if Everton get Fekir, he is a fine player," said Campbell. "He’s a really good player; he’s tough; he’s a leftie, and not only can he score, he can create as well.

“He’s a handful. He nearly went to Liverpool; it didn’t quite work out because of a failed medical. If Everton could get hold of him, that could set some fires on Merseyside.”

In the Liverpool Echo, the impressive form of Yerry Mina is discussed, with the defender's combative style effective in nullifying Atletico Madrid's Luis Suarez and Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar during the international break.

Mina's Colombia have been involved in tough fixtures against Uruguay and Brazil over the past few days and kept clean sheets in both matches, securing back-to-back 0-0 draws.

And finally, also in the Echo, Everton's loanees are rated, with Nathan Broadhead and Niels Nkounkou catching the eye during their temporary stints away from Goodison Park.
