Everton defender Gabby George believes the squad is relishing the challenge of facing high-flying Arsenal on Sunday.
The Gunners are undefeated in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League this season but tasted defeated in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
For Willie Kirk’s side, they come into Sunday afternoon’s match with back-to-back wins, having beat Birmingham City and Reading, scoring six and conceding only once.
England defender George says the confidence gained from the last two weeks will lift the group heading into the clash at Meadow Park.
“We’ve prepared well on the pitch,” George told evertontv.
“We’ve prepared over the last two games and got our first points on the board to build our confidence going into Arsenal.
“We know Arsenal are a very good team. We’re under no illusions that they’re going to pose us with a lot of threats, a lot of competition but we’re ready for it.”
Heading into gameweek five, the London club sit top of the table, having won all four matches, including a win over reigning champions Chelsea.

However, the 24-year-old believes these are the kind of games that players rise to and hopes the Blues can compete with the hosts on the day.
“You want to play the top teams in the league and show them that we’ve been working hard to go and compete with them,” she added.
“That’s what we want to do. Obviously, the start of the season didn’t go well so we want to rectify that against Arsenal on the weekend and show that the gap is not as big.
“The past four games have helped us [the squad] to gel together and learn about the tactics and what we need to do to win games of football.
“We want to go out there and put in a good performance first and foremost.”
