Hannah, you’re only 18 but have already built up a lot of experience. You made your debut for Rosengard as a 15-year-old and have played in the Champions League and for your country at senior level. How have you improved over the past three years?

I have a learned a lot, both from the players and from the coaches I’ve had.

The biggest things [I have learned] have been to be patient and to keep working hard – then you will get where to you want to.

On the pitch, I feel I have developed a lot, especially when I got called up to the senior national team. That was a really big moment for me. I hope I can be even better and learn even more at Everton.

It is a big challenge to play at such a high level at such a young age. How do you approach dealing with that pressure?

I think I have got used to it now, because I have played for a long time in games with this type of tempo.

I would describe myself as pretty confident, especially when I am on the pitch and playing football. I always want to be the best and, if I am not, I will keep on working.

I don’t know where the mentality comes from, it’s just who I am. I still aim to try to get better every day. I think that is very important.

Earlier this year, you received an extremely prestigious prize when you were named the Goal NXGN Best Young Female Footballer in the World. How did that feel?

I didn’t expect it at all! It was just amazing.

It was so nice to get called that… I means a lot for my confidence, but I still have a lot of try to improve on, so I will keep on working hard.

You were in the Sweden squad that won a silver medal at the recent Olympic Games in Japan. How would you describe that experience?

It was incredible.

It was my first Olympics, so it was so nice to be there and see all the athletes and all the things around the Games, too.

It was great we got all the way to the final and got the silver medal.

Sweden have got such an exciting group of players at the moment, with a lot of competition for places. Do you feel your move to Everton can help you cement a spot in the team?

I’m at a really good club with Everton, and with a good coach in Willie Kirk. I’m really looking forward to getting starting in the league.

It’s so cool to be here at USM Finch Farm and see all the pitches and how great the training ground is.

Everton is a great place to be and I want to help the team finish high in the table and reach the Champions League.

Internationally, my ambition is to continue being called to the national team and to get into the starting XI in the coming years. That’s my biggest goal.
