The Liverpool Echo claims James Rodriguez could still leave the Club in the coming weeks.

While the transfer market closed for most countries in Europe last night, the transfer window remains open for clubs in Russia, Turkey and Portugal.

However, it is believed wage demands could be a stumbling block for any potential move.

The Athletic states that Everton did not make any approach to Manchester United for their midfielder Donny van de Beek.

There were reports that Everton had made a last minute loan offer for the Dutch international.

However, these reports were squashed by Athletic reporter Laurie Whitwell who believes no formal offer was made nor was he made available by United.

Give Me Sport have spoken with England international Toni Duggan who says it's "time to step up" ahead of a new Barclays FA Women's Super League season.

Duggan - who rejoined the Club over the summer - believes now is the time to make a charge for one of three Champions League places and that begins on Saturday when the Blues face-off against Manchester City at Goodison Park.

"It's been a long time," the 30-year-old told the outlet of her return to Everton. "I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out because Everton gave me that platform when I was younger.

"To come back now and hopefully pay them back, I'm delighted.

"We do have the quality, it's time to step up now."
